Common Christmas Lighting Questions, Answered
What does the full installation process look like from start to finish?
The process starts with a consultation where we gather photos of your home or property. From there, we create a digital mock-up so you can see a preview of how your display will look before any lights go up. Once you approve the design and place a 50% deposit to secure your inventory and scheduling slot, our crew custom-cuts commercial-grade strands to fit your property's exact dimensions. We handle the full installation, including high-reach work using aerial lifts when needed. After the season, we return for takedown and store your lights at our facility until the following year. What happens if a bulb burns out or a strand stops working mid-season?
We back every installation with a 24-hour repair turnaround guarantee. If a bulb goes out or a strand fails at any point during the season, contact us and we will have it fixed within 24 hours. This is one of the core reasons homeowners and business owners in Ocala and across our service area choose a professional installer over a do-it-yourself approach. You will not be left with a dark display or tangled wires to sort out on your own.Can I use my own lights, or do you only install lights you supply?
We install only our own commercial-grade inventory. This is a firm policy, not a preference. The reason is straightforward: we can only guarantee the quality, appearance, and performance of lights we source and control ourselves. Our strands are custom-cut to the exact dimensions of your property, which produces the clean, wire-free look our clients expect. Retail-grade lights from a box store do not meet the standard we hold ourselves to, and using client-supplied lights would compromise our ability to stand behind the finished result. Why is a 50% deposit required, and what does it cover?
The deposit exists for a practical reason: it funds the purchase of your specific inventory and locks in your place on our installation schedule. The holiday season is a compressed two-month window, and demand fills quickly. When you place the deposit, we order the commercial-grade lights cut to your property's measurements and reserve the crew time needed for your project. It is a commitment from both sides that ensures your installation happens on time and to the standard you were shown in the digital mock-up.Do you install permanent lighting or inflatable decorations?
No. Deck The Hall's specializes in professional temporary holiday displays. We do not install permanent lighting systems, and we do not work with inflatable decorations. Our focus is on commercial-grade, custom-cut holiday lighting and non-inflatable specialty decor. If you are looking for a clean, polished seasonal display that goes up professionally and comes down at the end of the season, that is exactly what we do. If your project involves permanent fixtures or inflatables, we would not be the right fit. What areas do you serve, and are there any locations you do not cover?
We serve Ocala, Anthony, Citra, The Villages, Crystal River, and Dunnellon in Central Florida. Our team has specific experience with residential estates, horse farms, ranches, and commercial properties throughout these corridors. Based on our history in the market, we do not take on projects in Summerfield or the Shores area, as those zones have not proven to be a strong fit for our service model. If you are outside our listed areas, it is worth confirming before assuming we cannot help. What types of lighting and decor do you offer for a display?
We carry commercial-grade lighting in multi-color, bright white, and warm white options. Our specialty inventory includes drip lights, which are particularly popular for Ocala's large oak trees, as well as giant gum drops and non-inflatable Santa displays. For autumn, we also offer large-scale pumpkin porch styling. All installations use automated timers, and every strand is custom-cut to fit your property. We do not use generic off-the-shelf lengths, which is what allows us to achieve the clean, wire-hidden look that sets a professional display apart from a retail one.Do you handle storage after the season, or do I need to store the lights myself?
Storage is fully included in our service. After the season ends, our crew returns to take down the entire display and brings everything back to our facility for off-site storage. Your lights are maintained and ready for the following year. This is part of what makes the service a true turnkey experience: you are not left with boxes of tangled strands to sort through, no damaged bulbs to replace on your own, and no storage space needed at your home or business. The same price applies each year, which makes budgeting for the holiday season straightforward.
